Common questions

Why are flour, sugar, and butter separate categories?

Because their weight per volume differs. 1 cup of flour weighs about 125 g, while 1 cup of sugar weighs about 200 g. Using a single volume-to-weight ratio for all ingredients would give incorrect results.

The converted value doesn't match my recipe.

Ingredient densities can vary by brand, sifting, and packing method. The presets use standard culinary values. For precise baking, a kitchen scale is always the most accurate tool.

Does the app require an internet connection?

No. All conversions are calculated on-device. The app works fully offline after installation.

Is my data private?

Yes. Kitchen Converter does not collect personal data or store the values you type. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Which units are supported for volume?

ml, l, US cup (240 ml), fl oz, tablespoon, teaspoon, pint, and quart. All based on US customary measurements.
